VDC Employees/Caregivers

Learn about our purpose and meet our team.

In the Veteran-Directed Care (VDC) program, veterans hire and manage their own employees to provide personal care and other services. Veterans can choose to hire family members, friends, or neighbors to be their paid workers, which is a key aspect of the program’s flexibility.

406 Financial Services manages the administrative and financial aspects of the program for the veteran, including processing payroll and taxes for hired caregivers; managing the veteran’s budget; and ensuring funds are distributed correctly.
